Designed for individuals of all skin types seeking more significant skin rejuvenation in fewer treatments than progressive “not downtime” gel peels and with less downtime than more aggressive procedures • Excellent for overall skin rejuvenation to address the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, mild acne and light pigmentation. 2-3 downtime.

PRE CHEMICAL PEEL INSTRUCTiONS

  • Extended sun exposure should be avoided, for at least 10 days prior to treatment

  • It is recommended to delay use of tretinoin, Retin-A®, Renova®, Differin®, Tazorac®, Avage®, EpiDuo™, Ziana®, Retinol, and high-percentage AHA and BHA products for approximately 5 days prior to treatment. Consult your PCP before temporarily discontinuing use of any prescription medications.

  • If possible, please arrive to your appointment with a clean face, free from makeup, creams, or lotions.

  • Also avoid high sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods, and cigarettes 24-48 hours pre and post procedure, as these can delay healing, and increase risk for bruising and swelling.

  • Please reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you develop signs or symptoms of illness such as cold, flu, sold sores, rash, COVID-19, etc. Subject to canellation fee if less than 24 hours notice.

  • Unfortunately, you are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Please make sure to have a good meal including food and beverage prior to your procedure. This will decrease the chances of dizziness/lightheadedness during your treatment.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete any necessary paperwork and provide time to utilize numbing creams if necessary/desired.

POST CHEMICAL PEEL INSTRUCTIONS

Post Treatment Instructions for Chemical Peel

  • Please follow below instructions for a minimum of 7 days or until skin has healed

  • Avoid direct heat including, hot water, hair dryer, steam, and prolonged sun exposure

  • Do not engage in activities such as swimming, hot tubs, or baths. Submerged open skin is succeptible to infection.

  • Do not participate in activities that would cause excessive perspiration, such as intense exercise. Heating internally can cause hyperpigmentation.

  • Do not exfoliate the treated area

  • Do not apply ice or ice water to the treated area

  • Treatments may cause redness, tightness, peeling, flaking and/or temporary dryness. Do not pick at peeling skin as this can cause hyperpigmentation.

  • Makeup should not be applied as it is ideal to allow the skin to stabilize and rest.

  • Do use mineral based sunscreen daily. Reapply as needed, minimum every 2hrs is recommended. Do not use chemical based sunscreen.

  • Follow directions in post-care kit for product use. Do not use any products unless instructed to do so for at least 7 days. Using products too harsh for the skin during the recovery phase could lead to undesired and adverse effects, prolonging the healing process.

  • It is recommended to delay use of tretinoin, Retin-A®, Differin®, Renova®, Tazorac®, Avage® EpiDuo™ or Ziana for 7-10 days.

  • Do not pick or pull on any loosening or peeling skin. This could potentially cause hyperpigmentation.

  • Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing or use depilatories for 14 days.

  • Do not have another treatment until your clinician advises you it is safe to do so, typically 14 days.

  • Call your provider directly for fever, redness, swelling, signs or symptoms of infection, or increased pain.

  • Do NOT use social media platforms for communication in regards to your treatment.

  • Contact office at 617-544-0835 for non-urgent matters.

  • Emergency situations, such as difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, please call 911, and then contact your provider.

  • DO call with any questions or concerns!

  • Your Pre/Post Treatment Complicance is crutial to enhance your success for successful outcomes
